Maximising the potential
A Grade 1 listed Christopher Wren designed Church in the City had been left vacant for 10 year prior to our client securing a long term tenancy.
Working in close collaboration with English Heritage and the Diocese of London we were able to adopt a “soft touch” strategy which allowed for the efficient reordering of the Western End of the Church, creating rooms for Ministry and Office use, whilst sensitively refurbishing the Nave to create flexible space, and accommodate a Publically accessible coffee shop.
Sensitive re-ordering, creation of level flexible space, an efficient heating system and a semi-commercial catering Kitchen were all provided for our client.
Since opening, the building has been able to facilitate the growth of Christian Ministry in the City, provide a venue for events, in addition to the Coffee Shop picking up various awards.
